Join us as each month we
explore the Animal Kingdom. From snails and snakes to beavers
and birds we will take an in-depth look at the animals that are
local to Southern New England. We will learn the seasonal
habitat preferences, natural history and conservation status of
different animals through discussion, meeting live animals,
games, activities and fieldtrips.
With the exception of
September, programs will be held the first Thursday of the month
from 1:30-3:30. After enrollment is complete children will be
grouped according to age. Please keep in mind that Nature Center
programs are taught from a scientific perspective. While these
classes are run as a drop-off program, parents are welcome to
stay for part or all of the classes. However, please check with
us about accommodating younger siblings in the classroom.
