Outreach Programs
Our staff of experienced educators  provide environmental education programming on just about any natural history topic... including terrestrial, marine and freshwater communities, plants, insects, weather, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals.  Over 20,000 participants from area schools, libraries, senior centers, scout groups, and other community organizations experience DPNC's hands-on, science based activities, slide shows, nature walks, and field trips each year.

Summer Nature Camp
Each year, the Nature Center offers week-long Summer Nature Camp sessions from June through August for children ages 4 -12.  Campers discover exciting plants and animals at our beautiful sanctuary and at other local areas of ecological interest. Nature hikes, pond dipping, craft-making, bug & butterfly catching, and fun games help make this seasonal program a wonderful way to enjoy nature and make new friends.

For more information and details of this years summer camp see our camp schedule.

Wildlife Information and Rehabilitation
The Nature Center staff fields many wildlife questions each day.  We are part of a region-wide network of wildlife specialists that handle emergencies and help seek appropriate care for injured wildlife. For specific wildlife issues see our wildlife FAQ.
