Welcome to DPNC’s Summer
Nature Camp 2010! Climbing in trees, running through
meadows, scampering up boulders, catching frogs, wading
through streams, exploring the forest floor – these are the
activities that are synonymous with childhood and summer.
Our camp engages children outside in a play-based camp
environment, where having fun and playing in nature come
first. We believe that a strong environmental ethic can only
develop in kids who first love being outdoors. In our
planned neighborhoods and scheduled lives, unstructured
outdoor play is overlooked if not impossible. Our camp
provides an opportunity for all participants to connect with
nature. DPNC Summer Nature Camp builds the foundation for
a lifetime of love and respect for our environment.
Children aged 3 to 6 engage in half day sessions at the
Nature Center. Children 4.5 to 15 enjoy all-day
sessions and those 6 - 15 travel by van to some of the best
natural habitats in the area.
Register your children for the programs shown below. Choose
one or more sessions.
Nature Center members have early registration until March
15. Non-members can sign up beginning March 15.
Memberships are available now.
